Get iconic for the new decade at West Hollywood’s Alcohol-Free New Year’s Eve Party, #BOOM! 2020. The costume ball returns to the West Hollywood Park Auditorium, located at 647 North San Vicente Boulevard starting Tuesday, December 31, 2019, 8:00 PM, to Wednesday, January 1, 2020, 1:00 AM. And wake up in the New Year hangover-free.
They say imitation is best form of flattery. Whether it’s Madonna, Cher, Marilyn Monroe, Ruth Bader Ginsburg or Hillary Clinton, this is your chance to have some fun and pay tribute to your favorite icon by dressing up like them for a chance to win prizes. The party will offer a step-and-repeat for photo ops and a catwalk to strut your iconic stuff. Can’t make up your mind or too shy to stand out? Relax. Participation in the costume showcase and a strut on the catwalk are completely optional.
“This event is important because it gives people a fun and safe place to ring in the New Year.” Alexis Sanchez, Prevention Coordinator for the West Hollywood Project, told WEHO TIMES. “New Year’s Eve parties can be tough to navigate if you’re in recovery, so this alcohol free space makes it a non-issue. Plus, it’s a really nice event for the community at large. I’ve had several friends drop in and end up staying until the countdown because it’s a such a fun party.”
#BOOM!, West Hollywood’s premiere alcohol- and drug-free New Year’s Eve event, brings hundreds of people together for a fabulous celebration that is free of charge. The event is organized to provide a safe and healthy environment for individuals who choose not to be around drugs or alcohol on New Years Eve.
#BOOM! 2020 features red carpet icon photo stations, Host Glen Alen, DJ Eddie X, dancing, food, and Hollywood body painting artist Marky Make Up! All amenities are free.
