The free COVID testing site at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station has closed due to low traffic and lack of interest, reports the West Hollywood West Residents Association (WHWRA).
“The Department wanted to change locations and hopefully increase interest,” Sheriff Lt William Moulder told WHWRA via an email. “We are currently looking for a different location, especially on the west side of town.”
The free walk-up COVID-19 PCR and rapid testing site opened two weeks ago at the West Hollywood Sheriff’s station parking lot at 780 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The testing site would be open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. WeHo Sheriff’s announced last week that it would expand to every weekday, however, the site closed down yesterday due to lack of interest.
The City of West Hollywood website was updated this morning to reflect the closure of the West Hollywood Sheriff’s testing site by removing it from its list of free COVID-19 testing locations.
