It’s summer so let’s go camping Beverly Hills style! That’s right, the Fred Segal flagship store at 8500 Sunset Blvd., in West Hollywood, brought back beloved 80s pop-culture phenomenon, Camp Beverly Hills. It is now available exclusively at Fred Segal.
To celebrate the nostalgic Los Angeles homecoming of the iconic pastel hued brand, the store hosted a pop-up to pay homage to the brand’s original Camp Beverly Hills store this past Thursday, July 8. Shoppers were invited to spend an afternoon of camp-themed fun, shopping and sweet treats hosted by Gen Z influencer, Ellie Zieler.

Camp Beverly Hills is available exclusively on the Fred Segal online store. The flagship store on the Sunset Strip is the only physical store that carries the clothing line. The store also carries exclusive items and vintage pieces. Some are one-of-a-kind.
Some items include a green denim jumpsuit, an 80s retro colorful sweatshirt, a retro sweater and a hunter green parachute jacket with the classic CAMP BEVERLY HILLS logo on the back.
The collection is all pastel hues, and offers a selection of vintage t-shirts, tanks, sweatshirts, accessories (socks, hats, mugs)
Gen Z fashion influencer Ellie Zieler, was on hand for the big launch. She looked stunning in the classic CAMP BEVELY HILLS white sweatshirt. Zieler took pictures with fans and handed out complimentary Coolhaus Gimmie S’mores Ice Cream Sandwiches at the event.
“I’m so excited about the collection,” Zieler told WEHO TIMES. “My mom got the email that this line was coming back with a revamp from the 80s, and she screamed. She was so excited. She showed me all of her old pictures wearing the brand. Then they invited me and I was shocked. I’m so honored to be here.”
“Camp Beverly Hills clothing makes me feel empowered and I feel I have a secret, that this was popular before, and now it’s back,” she added. “Vintage and old school styles are definitely back, so this is another piece I can add to my wardrobe. The shirts that they have are so soft in my opinion. I love them and I will be purchasing this for my Mom, because we share all of our clothes, so I will be getting this as well.”
The CAMP BEVERLY HILLS original store opened in 1977 in Beverly Hills, CA. The line became an instant cult classic in the 80s. The brand is a perfect fit for Fred Segal’s store’s vibe. The collection officially launched on July 1, 2021.
