Santa Monica Restaurant Week

Santa Monica Restaurant Week begins January 6 and ends January 12 and is focused on healthy food options. This year’s featured ingredient is kumquat. During SM Restaurant Week diners can try out westside restaurants for specially priced lunch and dinner menus. The Living Room and Station Hollywood at W Hollywood Offer Special Awards Season Cocktails

The Living Room and Station Hollywood at the W Hollywood Hotel are offering up award worthy cocktails inspired by nominees for the upcoming Golden Globes and Grammys. Additionally, Station Hollywood is hosting a Golden Globes Watch Party on Sunday, January 5 at 5pm broadcasting the star-studded event on huge screens with cocktails and bites.

Scratch Restaurants Team with Wanderlust Creamery for Limited Edition Ice Cream Flavor

To kickoff 2020, Scratch Restaurants owner/pastry chef Margarita Kallas-Lee is teaming up with owner Adrienne Borlongan of Wanderlust Creamery, the artisanal ice cream shop serving unique flavors inspired by world travel, to create a limited edition flavor. Kallas-Lee will be turning her Scratch|Bar & Kitchen signature dessert, the triple creme ice cream served with smoked honey and brioche, into one delicious flavor, The Cheese Course. Beginning January 1st, Wanderlust Creamery will offer the limited-edition ice cream at their Tarzana & Atwater Village locations. In memory of Scratch Restaurants previous Director of Operations, Gabriel Wischmeier, who passed away unexpectedly in September, 100% of the profits will go to Project Angel Food, a charity near and dear to his heart.

Veganuary Celebrations

Vegans and vegetarians can celebrate the new year by visiting Nic’s on Beverly and Monty’s Good Burger for yummy vegetarian and vegan options. Nic’s offers Avocado Crispy Rice, Chinois Salad as well as other dishes; Monty’s Good Burger offers delicious plant based burger options. Fresh Brothers Pizza is also offering free Daiya vegan mozzarella upgrades on a any pizza until January 23.

Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken Offer Largest Fried Chicken Breakfast Sandwich

Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken are offering The Hangover, LA’s largest fried chicken breakfast sandwich beginning January 1. The sandwich boasts a fried chicken breast, two eggs, bacon and cheddar cheese topped with sausage gravy in between Astro’s house bun made of baked doughnut dough. Hecho Tequila Soda Comes to LA

Hecho Blue Agave Tequila Blanco and carbonated water come together in the new Hecho Tequila Soda. It’s gluten-free and under 100 calories, available in liquor stores beginning in January.

Socalo Opens in Santa Monica

Chefs Susan Feniger and Mary Sue Milliken have opened Socalo in Santa Monica, an all day California Canteen and Mexican Pub. Currently serving breakfast and lunch with dinner service to follow.

Studio Movie Grill Opens in Glendale

Studio Movie Grill has opened in Glendale, offering movie lovers a luxurious movie experience. Chicas Tacos Expands Locations in Southern California

Chicas Tacos, the award winning Mexican fast casual restaurant is opening four new locations in Southern California, including Culver City, West Los Angeles and Venice. The new locations will feature larger kitchens and dining rooms than Chicas’ original downtown LA location.
