El Pollo Loco Debuts New Mother’s Day Mural and Grants
El Pollo Loco is giving moms money to help them pursue their dreams with their new Strong Like A Madre promotion. Their “Madreships” will go to 12 winners and 25 mom semi-finalists will receive a $100 El Pollo Loco gift card. Nominations close on May 14 at noon PST. To nominate a mom, follow @elpolloloco on Instagram, share a photo on your feed of the LA madre you would like to nominate, add a caption why she is Strong Like A Madre, tag @elpolloloco and include #Stronglikeamadre and the hashtag for the Madreship of your choice, #dreamgigcontest, #dreamrelaunchcontest, or #dreamescapecontest.

They have also painted a special Strong Like A Madre mural at the 5800 S. Vermont Ave El Pollo Loco location.

Terra at Eataly LA Offering Study of Fire Series
Terra at Eataly in Century City is hosting a new “Study of Fire” series to highlight their fire-filled dishes featuring local chefs. The series includes a wide range of cuisines from shawarma on the spit to charcoal grilled yakitori and twists on Mexican street food. A pop-up Gin+Tonic bar from Sipsmith completes the experience. On May 20, Vanessa and Alejandro Silva from Metztil Taqueria will bring their fire-grilled Mexican street food to Terra.

Ogden’s Own Launches Porter’s Canned Cocktails
Ogden’s Own has launched new Porter’s Huckleberry Lemonade and Porter’s Peach Tea just in time for summer. These canned cocktails are made with Porter’s Whiskey liqueur and lemonade and ice tea, $3.99 per can.

A.O.C. Host Dinner for Valerie Rice Celebrating New Cookbook
A.O.C. will host a dinner and drink celebration for Valerie Rice to celebrate her new Lush Life: Food & Drinks from the Garden cookbook at a.o.c. on May 25 from 5-10pm, $95, reserve at 310.859.9859.

Jah Mama Sauce Launches

New Summer Menu at Dunkin’
Dunkin’ is serving up a new summer menu and all healthcare workers can get a FREE medium hot or iced coffee on National Nurses Day, May 6. New menu items include free donuts every Wednesday through May 25 for DD perks members; coconut refreshers and coconut milk lattes including pink strawberry, golden peach and purple pomegranate; butter pecan sundae signature latte and sunrise batch hot coffees.

Bull & Butterfly Launches Brunch Menu
Bull & Butterfly in Playa Vista has launched a new brunch menu available weekends from 11am to 2pm. Choose from eggs, boards, sweets, salads and sandwiches as well as sweet delights including Sticky Toffee Pancakes and Bread Pudding French Toast.

“Someone Else’s House” Now at the Geffen Stayhouse
The Geffen Stayhouse presents “Someone Else’s House” a spooky interactive event about a haunted house, now through July 3, $75 per household tickets at www.geffenplayhouse.org.

Theia in WeHo Offers Weekend Greek Inspired Brunch
Theia has launched a yummy Greek inspired weekend brunch every Saturday from 10:30am to 4pm including innovative dishes like pita benedict, lemon ricotta pancakes and smoked babganoush.

Hotel Figueroa in downtown LA will offer specialty cocktails and a Paleta Cart pop up from 1 – 2pm on May 5.  They are also expanding their hours to 11am to 11pm.

Brooklyn Ave. Pizza Co is creating specials including a pizza poblana and a la bandera cocktail.

Hungry Howie’s is offering a special Cinco De Mayo pizza deal, order a medium one topping pizza for  just $5.55 by using  the promo code “CINCO”, promo available May 2-5.

Petite Taqueria is offering 2 for 1 margaritas and special crispy tacos, $3; carne asada tacos, $10; and a petite sundae for $6, reserve at reservations@petitetaqueria.com.

Flower Pie Holes at The Pie Hole

Shutters on the Beach is offering Mother’s Day brunch at The Courtyard at 1 Pico on Sunday, May 9 from 10:30 a.m. to4:00 p.m. For $85, guests can enjoy a starter, a main course and a dessert. Signature dishes include Smoked Salmon Benedict, Avocado Toast and Kumamot Oysters. For moms that would prefer a nice dinner out on the town, The Courtyard at 1 Pico will be offering a pre-fixed three-course dinner menu for $95 per person. Served 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., guests can enjoy coastal California cuisine while taking in the Santa Monica sunset. Menu highlights include Seared Dayboat Scallops, Maine Lobster with Caviar and Russian Honey Cake.

The Beverly Hilton
Beverly Hilton is offering pool-side brunch at MERCATO situated by The Beverly Hilton’s Aqua Star pool. Offering a mimosa cart, seafood platter and dessert trio, an array of benedicts, breakfast favorites like avocado toast and Frosted Flake French Toast and classics like chopped cobb salad or a BH burger there is a variety of dishes to choose from. For expecting and mocktail loving mothers, the hotel is rolling out a special mocktail cart ensuring every mom receives the toast they deserve. Brunch will be served from 11 AM – 3:30 PM. $72 per person | $35 Kids under 12.

Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak LA
Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak LA is offering a bountiful Mother’s Day Brunch & Dinner for Dine-in as well as a five course Take-Home Dinner package, ready to serve with minimal heating instructions. Before or after a day of shopping at the Americana at Brand, treat mom to a la carte highlights including a Shellfish platter with miso-broiled preparations or ice cold complements for the oysters, lobster, crab and prawns. The Tasting Menu ($75 per person) offers three courses with a diversity of seasonal Spring dishes and hearty mains.
