UPDATE – Fire Reported at Jones Hollywood Restaurant in West Hollywood

A fire was reported at Jones Hollywood Restaurant this morning at 7141 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood’s Eastside. Neighbors reported that they were jolted from their sleep by sirens at roughly 6:20 a.m. on Friday. They saw smoke coming out of the restaurant. West Hollywood Sheriff deputies and Emergency crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department were dispatched to the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Formosa Avenue.

A Jones Hollywood representative tells WEHO TIMES that the outdoor awning was set on fire this morning. There was no structural damage to the interior, and THEY WILL BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! Everyone is ok, and the restaurant is OK.

This current fire is minor setback for the beloved restaurant, which has been a staple in the Hollywood dining scene for nearly 30 years. A car crashed into the building on November 14, 2023, forcing it to shut its doors for four months.

After several fundraisers and support from the community, the restaurant reopened again on April 29 of this year. The primary dining area resumed service, but the cafe section of Jones Hollywood has remained closed due to structural issues resulting from the accident, and there is still plywood covering that area six months after the crash.

Not as Jones 30 or more years. The space was previously and for many years as Ports. It’s been Jones for at least ten years. I think Ports was more of a trendy watering hole. I wish Jones the best.
