    Fan Girl Cafe Hosts Coffee with West Hollywood Mayor John Erickson

    Fan Girl Cafe, located at 8157 Santa Monica Blvd Suite A, hosted Coffee with Mayor John Erickson event on Saturday, March 30, 2023. The event was a chance to, not only meet the WeHo of Mayor, but it was also an opportunity to engage with West Hollywood Sheriff Deputies, members of Code Enforcement, City Board Members and Commissioners, City Staff and other community members.

    Joining Mayor Erickson were West Hollywood Sheriff Captain Bill Moulder, West Hollywood Director of Community Safety Danny Rivas, West Hollywood City Manager David Wilson, and Burbank City Council Member and former Mayor Konstantine Anthony.

    “Thank you, to all that came out to Coffee with the Mayor at Fan Girl Cafe today, even in the rain,” wrote Mayor Erickson on his social media platforms. “It was so great being in community with all of you! ☕️💕”

    Fan Girl Cafe opened in November 2023. It is woman, queer, and Latina owned. Founders Betsy Martinez and wife Cynthia Temblador have created a space that has become a go-to neighborhood destination for community members who are passionate about music, coffee, and a delicious meal while being surrounded by like-minded people.

    Fan Girl Cafe is described as a “vibrant and inclusive community cafe dedicated to celebrating and supporting women, non-binary, and LGBTQ artists in the music industry.”

    Cafe features include:

    • Live Performances/Open mic nights: Fan Girl Cafe will host regular live performances featuring talented women, non-binary, and LGBTQ musicians, providing a platform for them to showcase their skills.
    • Book Club: A monthly book club focused on music biographies and novels by women authors.
    • Artist Collaborations: Partnering with local artists for cafe decor, giveaways and exclusive merchandise. • Community Bulletin Board: We will share upcoming events and happenings in town on our community board.

    In 2022, Fan Girl Cafe hosted pop-ups throughout West Hollywood to promote their mission of opening a brick and mortar space in 2023.

    That’s a good question like the events with the police and having coffee with them are these mayors that resident should know when this happens before it happens

    How does this place pay its rent? It’s in a hidden shopping center….. the only thing I’ve ever done in the shopping center is have sex in the parking lot
