Entourage Barbershop, located at 8601 Sunset Boulevard, received a Red Ribbon Cutting Ceremony by the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, November 14, 2021. The limited invitation-only event was a red carpet affair with a DJ, Burlesque show, food and lots of networking.
The story of Entourage Barbershop begins with Spike who started in the barber business when he was 13 years old. His job was sweeping floors at the barbershop when one day, a customer gave him a dollar. “It was the most beautiful thing ever,” Spike said. “When I went to play with the other kids, I was the only one with a dollar. I loved that.”
Over the next few decades, Spike traveled the world from Dubai to France to England. He has received certificates and diplomas from abroad and has worked with some of the best barbers, though he doesn’t consider his learning experience to be complete.
“There is always going to be someone that does something better than you,” Spike said. “You will learn it and you will perfect it so you can be on the same level with any competition.”
Entourage Barbershop opened in 2020 on the Sunset Strip. With ample parking in the back, a secluded entrance and an upper-level VIP section, guests can have a luxurious and private experience.
