Emerson’s Locksmith Co., the friendly WeHo neighborhood locksmith that has provided residential, commercial and automotive services to the community for 40 years, is leaving their 8930 Santa Monica Boulevard location after being in business in the heart of WeHo’s Boystown since 1968.
A source tells WEHO TIMES that Emerson’s Locksmith Co. is trading their 90069 zip code for 90048. The well-known locksmith is staying within the confines of the city of West Hollywood and is only moving about a mile away from its original location where it has run its business for four decades. Their new location will be at 406 North La Cienega Boulevard. It will be sandwiched between Japanese restaurant, KOCHI and the infamous Trashy Lingerie–a longtime famous, if not infamous, retailer that offers a large selection of handmade sexy lingerie, costumes and accessories and is widely known for their sexy mannequins on display.
Emerson’s has been a fixture on Santa Monica for so long and is clearly loved by its customers, judging from their decent reviews on Yelp. “Super quick and very friendly service,” wrote Sophie F. of Santa Monica, who gave them five stars. “I needed 2 keys cut and was in and out in less than 5 minutes. For the grand total of $3.28. It’s a small old school place but they are clearly ultimate specialists in their field but it still feels like a local mom and pop place. Very nice and friendly. I heard they do call outs too. Will be using them for all our lock needs in the future.”

Their last day of operation at the 8930 address will be July 31. They will resume business at the new location shortly afterwards in the month of July. Owner Morrie Alpert was unable to comment as of the posting of this article. He and his staff are currently busy preparing themselves for the big move.
Emerson’s Locksmith Co. will continue to offer residential, commercial, industrial, panic Hardware, Medeco maximum key security, Master Key Systems, electronic access systems, combinations changed, and of course, they will also cut you a simple set of new keys.
It will also continue to service Bel Air, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Century City, Cheviot Hills, Culver City, Hancock Park, Hollywood, Hollywood Hills, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, West L. A., Westwood and all surrounding areas, including Canyon communities from their new location.
