Emerald Village West Hollywood cannabis travel and tourism board has launched “It’s 420 Somewhere” campaign to celebrate National Weed Day on the 20th of April (420) and beyond. From the celebration of the 20-year anniversary for Zen Healing Collective, to in-store fundraising for APLA’s AIDS Walk at participating dispensaries and lounges (CALMA, MedMen, LAPCG, Alternative Herbal Health Services, Zen Healing Collective, theWOODS, Urbn Leaf and The Artist Tree), to the hosting a competition for the 2nd annual Queen of the Emerald Village drag contest,the campaign will offer a variety of events, promotions, and activities for locals and visitors alike
“It’s 420 Somewhere” is designed to showcase the diversity and creativity of West Hollywood’s cannabis culture through a series of events and promotions that highlight the best of the local industry and commitment to community. From dispensary and consumption lounge events to product promotions like CALMA’s Chronival, a month-long music festival inspired $4.20 promotion and discounts on brands like Jay-Z’s Monogram happening April 3-23, Emerald Village West Hollywood has something for everyone this 420 Month. Additional 420 programming and activities include a KIVA x Fatburger Ketchup Launch Party and Puff & Pen Writing Class with West Hollywood Poet Laureate Brian Sonia Wallace at The Artist Tree. Customers can also pick up a printed copy of the latest West Hollyweed Fun Map in select retailers to help them find their way to key cannabis destinations throughout the Emerald Village.

A big event coming up is the 20th anniversary celebration of Zen Healing Collective, one of West Hollywood’s legacy cannabis retailers. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Mayor of West Hollywood, Sepi Shyne, on Thursday, April 20, from 12-5pm. The celebration will include live music by Feed The Kitty, food, drinks, and promotions such as Zen Healing’s famous BUDDAH BAGS (valued at $420) available for just a penny for the first 100 customers who spend $100.
The 2nd Annual Queen of the Emerald Village drag competition will take place on Sunday, May 14, at The Artist Tree Studio and Consumption Lounge. It will showcase the intersection of cannabis culture and drag artistry with local contestants competing for the title of Queen of the Emerald Village – West Hollywood’s own cannabis drag ambassador.
