Inspired by this year’s nominated films, here are a few cocktail recipes to make you feel award-worthy on Oscar night, brought to you by Loews Hollywood Hotel.
If you can’t attend this year’s 92nd Annual Academy Awards ceremony, you can still drink like a Hollywood star, thanks to the bartenders at Loews Hollywood Hotel. The hotel, located at 1755 N Highland Ave., is connected to the Dolby Theatre in the heart of Tinseltown, where all of the Oscar action will be taking place this Sunday, February 9th.
Loews’ talented mixologists have created nine delicious cocktails recipes directly inspired by some of this year’s Best Picture nominees. Each cocktail incorporates an aspect of the movie it represents, either through the ingredients, look or name.
And the drinks are…. “Tough Love,” inspired by “Marriage Story,” with Hudson bourbon, lemon juice, agave and pinot noir; “Longshot,” inspired by “1917,” with Aviation gin, lemon juice, agave and champagne; “Mob Mentality,” inspired by “The Irishman,” with Jameson Irish Whiskey, lime juice, ginger beer, Campari and club soda; “Dalton’s Double,” inspired by “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” with Maker’s Mark bourbon whiskey, Grand Marnier, agave, egg whites, lime, lemon and orange juice; “The Last Laugh,” inspired by “Joker,” with pisco, lime juice, matcha tea, egg whites and bitters; “Hoppy Rabbit,” inspired by “Jojo Rabbit” with Aviation gin, lemon juice, honey and pilsner; “Latch,” inspired by “Parasite,” with El Silencio mescal, Cointreau, orange juice and cayenne; “Horsepower,” inspired by “Ford v Ferrari” with Bulleit bourbon, Disaronno, Cointreau, demerara and lemon juice and “Love, Jo” inspired by “Little Women” with Bombay gin, Deep Eddy vodka, apple pucker, lemon juice, agave and grenadine.
