Dia y Noche de Los Muertos Returns to Hollywood Forever Cemetery Oct 28

Dia y Noche de Los Muertos is back at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard. A day and night event offers two separate experiences. The event will run from 9 a.m – 3 p.m., and the night event will run from 5 p.m. – 12 a.m.

This year’s theme is MÁSCARAS DE MÉXICO – VIDA Y MUERTE EN LA MÁSCARA (MASKS OF MEXICO – LIFE AND DEATH IN THE MASK)

The theme celebrates the use of masks which has always served as a form of cultural and religious expression dating back to ancient times. These ancient practices held a role in both, Mesoamerican funerary traditions and in contemporary folk celebrations in Mexico and Latin America. “Máscaras de México – Vida y Muerte en La Máscara” illustrates a multicultural approach around storytelling via rituals and practices passed down from generation to generation, it creates and supports a magical world of transcendence, an individual and collective spirit that is present in our lives.
