    This month is filled with festivities and feasts to celebrate the holidays. Here is a roundup of what’s happening in the Greater LA County area. 

    The Melt Opens in West Hollywood

    The Melt, a San Francisco-based fast-casual eatery, known for its unique MeltBurgers and reinvented comfort food classics, announced the opening of its new West Hollywood location. This marks the brand’s 10th California location and third opened this year. The restaurant is open from 10 a.m. – 12 a.m. daily for dine-in and pick-up orders, as well as delivery to the surrounding areas.

    D’USSE XO Teams with Dr. Woo for a Cool Glass Set

    D’USSE XO, the iconic cognac brand, has teamed with tattoo artist Dr. Woo to create a unique gift set featuring a sleek D’USSE XO bottle and two silver rimmed glasses featuring artwork by Dr. Woo, $280, available at https://www.dusse.com.

    Yardbird Offers Weekend and Holiday Brunch

    Yardbird now has a great weekend brunch featuring delicious chicken and waffles, smoked salmon benedict, lemon meringue pie pancakes, huge cinnamon rolls and a variety of other dishes. They are also offering nine days of brunch from Saturday December 24 to Sunday January 1. 

    Don Julio and Palm Tree Crew Host Winter Events

    Tequila Don Julio Primavera has teamed with Palm Tree Crew to celebrate golden moments this winter. A special Palm  Tree Musical Festival will be held in Aspen February 24 -25, with tickets on sale beginning December 2 at www.palmtreefestival.com. They are also releasing a unisex sweatset in January.

    Breyers DIY Snowman Kit

    Breyers ice cream is offering a Breyers DIY Snowman Kit with everything to build the perfect snowman including a tub of vanilla ice cream, decorative candy toppings, and a set of ice cream scoops. Enter to win a kit on Instagram and tiktoc December 1 through Dec. 10 at breyersofficial.

    British Pub The Chap Launches in Hollywood

    The Chap, a British inspired pub, has launched in Hollywood’s Vinyl District. Named after Charlie Chaplin, the new pub features an expansive lager and cocktail list and cult classic British dishes, open Wednesday to Saturday, 6pm to close, Sunday 11am to close, at 1607 N. Cahuenga Street. 

    Japanese Wagyu Dishes Featured at LA Restaurants

    The Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center is hosting its 3rd annual Japanese Wagyu program showcasing restaurants, chefs and butchers in NYC, SF and LA. Special dishes featuring Wagyu cuts are available at Citron, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Shibumi and STK  in LA now through January 2023.

    Edition Hotels Partner with  Artist Sarah Coleman for Special Holiday Tree Installations

    Edition Properties in New York, Miami Beach, Tampa and West Hollywood are partnering with artist Sarah Coleman for 2022 tree installations. The West Hollywood Edition tree features the 90’s and Y2K including vintage toys, butterfly clips and handmade CD mix tapes. 

    New Cannabis Brand PHASES

    PHASES, a new cannabis brand, has launched and is a fully carbon neutral company offering a variety of pre-rolls, flowers and vapes, available at https://www.leafly.com. 

    Burke Williams Offers Gift of Wellness with Holiday Packages

    Grand Central Market Launches Holiday Wonderland

    Grand Central Market has launched “Holiday Wonderland”, December 3 through 31. There will be Santa Meet and Greets, Ugly Sweater Karaoke, charcuterie board making class, pancake breakfasts and more, free at Grand Central Market, 317 S. Broadway.

    Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills Offers Nutcracker Tea

    The Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills is hosting a holiday Nutcracker Tea weekends in December, featuring TeaLeaves tea or champagne, a classical harpist and afternoon tea goodies, $70 with seatings Saturday and Sundays from noon to 3pm, reserve at 310. 860.6666. 

    SIZED Studio Hosts Andy Warhol Exhibit

    SIZED Studio in Beverly Hills  and O’Gara’s Rolls-Royce Beverly Hills is hosting an Andy Warhol exhibition titled “In Motion: Andy Warhol 1974 -1986” featuring over forty photographs of random moments from Warhol’s personal life.  Open December 9 through 11, 11am to 6pm at 562 N. Western Avenue. 

    SHEGLAM Pop Up in Glendale

    SHEGLAM, a leader in affordable, direct to consumer cosmetics, is hosting a popup concept in Glendale from December 9 through December 11th at Americana at Brand, 10am to 10pm. 

    Holiday Celebrations

    Marina Del Rey’s Jamaica Bay Inn is offering a special Christmas menu for $70 from noon to 10pm, as well as a New Year’s Eve menu from 4 to 10pm including a fireworks show at 10pm.

    Sofitel LA at Beverly Hills is teaming with People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) to host a toy drive December 3 to 18, drop off an unwrapped book or game at the front desk; as well as hosting PAWLidays, Saturday December 10 from 10am to 2pm (with Wagomor Pets) for Santa photos and adoptions, proceeds benefitting Wagomor Pets.

    The h.wood Group is offering holiday dining packages including smoked prime rib dinner for four ($300, pre-order by Dec. 20, pick up on Dec. 24) and a brisket Hanukkah dinner for four ($214), available December 18 to 20, pre-order 24 hours in advance, order at exploretock.com/slabbarbecue.

    Milk Bar’s Christina Tosi has partnered with Caviar, the online food platform, to offer a special Holiday Popcorn Cake, a decadent holiday popcorn tin-inspired cookie cake, available December 5 through January 20th, available on Caviar for delivery and pickup in New York, LA and DC, use promo code COOKIE MAGIC to receive a discount.

    West Hollywood’s Connie and Ted’s is offering Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve feasts. Their pre-fixe Christmas Eve dinner includes Lobster Bisque, ribeye or cioppino and traditional bread pudding for $80 per person, and NYE dinner includes their lobster pot pie for $48 or black truffle pasta, big eye tuna tartar and scallops. They are also offering a selection of seafood and pies to go. 

    Bludso’s BBQ is offering a wide range of holiday dinners to take home including a Holiday Combo of a whole smoked turkey or ham, collard greens, sweet potato mash, stuffing and a side of gravy for $225, as well as a bunch of sides and pies, pick up December 24 from 11am to 1pm, 323.931.2583. 

    Black Tap Anaheim is featuring a Gingerbread Classic Shake and a Wagyu Juicy Lucy Burger through the month of December, and they will be open Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. 

    Yardbird is offering a special Christmas Day menu including choices of caviar on toast, truffle mushroom risotto, potato and parsnip soup, cinnamon roll bread pudding, dry aged tenderloin, as well as a take out Prime Rib Dinner for $450 with mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, broccolini, Caesar salad, biscuits prime rib and pecan pie.
