    City of West Hollywood Accepting Nominations for 2017 Public Safety Awards

    The City of West Hollywood invites community members to submit nominations for the 2017 Public Safety Awards. Each year, the Public Safety Awards are an opportunity to recognize individuals, groups, and businesses that have made significant efforts towards enhancing public safety in West Hollywood.

    The City’s Public Safety Department is currently seeking nominations in two awards categories:

    • Outstanding Contribution to Public Safety — Individual; and
    • Outstanding Contribution to Public Safety — Business or Organization.

    Eligible awards nominees include people who have made extraordinary efforts to volunteer for public safety programs or events; have organized community-watch groups; have made efforts at strengthening law enforcement and community partnerships; have dedicated many hours of service to the Sheriff’s Department or Fire Department; or have demonstrated leadership in any variety of ways that have contributed to a safer community.

    Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, April 19, 2017.

    The Public Safety Awards will take place at the City of West Hollywood’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. There will be an awards presentation, and dessert and music to follow. Admission is free; no RSVP is required. Validated parking will be provided in the adjacent five-story structure, accessible from N. San Vicente Boulevard.
