The City of West Hollywood will host Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur in a Town Hall meeting tonight, Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the West Hollywood City Council Chambers, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The event is free and open to the public; no advance RSVP is required.
The Town Hall meeting will additionally be available for viewing on WeHoTV. Broadcast will be provided in West Hollywood on Spectrum Channel 10. The meeting will be streamed on the City’s WeHoTV YouTube channel www.youtube.com/wehotv and on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Roku streaming platforms by searching for “WeHoTV.”
Community members will have an opportunity to connect with Assemblymember Zbur in person at the Town Hall meeting to discuss issues facing the region as well as learn about his legislative and budget priorities. Assemblymember Zbur will speak about the current initiatives he is working on and answer questions about his current work including votes on different bills, as well as listen to residents’ and business owners’ comments and concerns.
The City of West Hollywood plays an active role in legislation and advocacy through its Community & Legislative Affairs Division. As part of advancing the City’s legislative priorities, the City works with a range of elected representatives including Assemblymember Zbur.
Assemblymember Zbur’s priorities include civil rights, addressing climate change and protecting the environment, advancing social justice, tackling homelessness, and making housing more affordable in the region. He was recently appointed as the Chair of the Assembly Democratic Caucus and is a member of multiple committees, including Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials, Natural Resources, Public Safety and Revenue and Taxation. Before serving in the Assembly, Zbur served as Executive Director of Equality California and President of California Environmental Voters. He currently serves as a member of the board of Planned Parenthood Los Angeles.
