The City of West Hollywood is co-sponsoring JQ International’s Trans Equality Brunch, set to take place on Sunday, November 17, 2019 with the brunch starting at 11 a.m., followed by a panel discussion at 11:45 a.m. at the City’s Council Chambers, located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard.
The Trans Equality Brunch panel discussion will feature members of the transgender and genderqueer community. Attendees will hear the voices, stories, and experiences of diverse and accomplished transgender and genderqueer community members, with hopes of building stronger friends, allies, and supporters of full equality for the entire LGBTQ community.
This event is concurrent with the City of West Hollywood’s recognition of Transgender Awareness Month, which is recognized throughout the United States each November.

The City of West Hollywood is one of the most outspoken cities in the nation in advocating for the legal rights of LGBT people. More than 40 percent of residents in the City of West Hollywood identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender. Each November, the City recognizes Transgender Awareness Month with a variety of events. The City will host a Transgender Day of Remembrance event on Wednesday, November 20, 2019.
