Celebrate Madonna’s Birthday with B*TCH I’M MADONNATHON at Beaches WeHo

It’s Madonna’s birthday. To celebrate the birth of the Queen of Pop, promoter, community organizer and founder of DIVA: Diverse and Inclusive Visionary Artists, Nelson Melegrito, is hosting B*TCH I’M MADONNATHON at Beaches WeHo, located at 8928 Santa Monica Blvd., on Saturday, August 17.

VJ Rick Dominguez is playing nonstop Madonna music and videos all night long.

“We will definitely expect a throwback to her Madgesty’s greatest hits through her enormous library of groundbreaking and envelope pushing music videos and of course, a fun night of dancing and singing along with her greatest hits,” Melegrito told WEHO TIMES. “It has been a time honored tradition of mine to host and produce Madonna themed events dating back to the Confessions era and with the release of her new album and in preparation for her upcoming Madame X tour, there’s always that desire to host events in honor of the true OG Queen of Pop. In light of daily devastating, horrific news we hear around the world, we all need a Madonna escape even for 2 hours.”

Melegrito recently produced the Madonna Madame X official album release party at Beaches WeHo this past June. He says that he is looking forward to a Madonnathon mini reunion among Madonna’s loyal fans who have been with her for the past 37 years. “Music truly does make the people come together with her acting as our Pied Piper,” he said.

And how does this hardcore fan feel about M turning 61?

“When Madonna turned 50, I thought to myself this will be her swan song. And we all know how cruel and ageist this industry can be,” he said. “And as a true survivor, we should never doubt her creativity and longevity. She managed to outlast her pop contemporaries ten years later at 60. So turning 61 will be another number and we are indeed blessed to have her ingenious presence, her passion, creativity and humanitarian activism for future generations to come.”

There is no cover for B*TCH I’M MADONNATHON at Beaches WeHo. Doors open at 9pm.
