Bora Sushi, located at 8729 Santa Monica Blvd, is finally opening in West Hollywood this week after signing a lease in 2019, before the pandemic hit. The sushi restaurant, which will also offer Korean dishes, was supposed to have a soft opening on April 24, but there were some delays. David Kim, the chef and owner of Bora Sushi, says the restaurant is opening on Friday, April 28, 2023 from 5pm – 11 pm, with a special celebration running from 7pm-11pm, in anticipation of their grand opening, which will hopefully be next Friday, May 7.
“We specialize in sushi,” said David “I’ve been a chef for about 23 years, but we also have a couple of dishes that will be Korean. We want to provide a space that is accessible. We’d like people to come and lounge and work on their laptops and be comfortable.”
David says he’s always worked around West Hollywood, and he is familiar with the area.

The event will offer an immersive and live atmosphere filled with music, vibrant lights, and a welcoming crowd. There will be prizes and a 360 photo booth will capture the moment. Attendees will also get a chance to sample a variety of sushi dishes which include signature rolls and sashimi crafted from the highest quality ingredients. Chefs will be on hand to showcase their culinary skills.
