Book Signing Series Continues at My 12 Step Store with “Say the Second Thing” Author Johnny Allem

The summer book signing series continues at My 12 Step Store West Hollywood with recovery advocate Johnny Allem, the author of the book “Say the Second Thing” about the work and the joy of recovery.

Allem will be signing copies of his book on Wednesday, July 24th, 4pm – 7pm, at the store, located at 8730 Santa Monica Blvd., in the heart of West Hollywood.

Johnny Allem brings 25 years of activism and leadership as a grassroots and national advocate for addiction recovery. He’s the 2016 recipient of the William L. White Lifetime Achievement Award of Faces and Voices of Recovery. He was featured in Anonymous People, a film by Greg William in 2015, which celebrates the vitality and importance of the addiction recovery movement and its power to change minds. Allem is Founder and President of Aquila Recovery Clinic, a cutting edge, outpatient addiction health facility in Washington, DC. he’s a Founder and original Board Member of Faces and Voices of Recovery. He Authored “Seven Policies to Cure Addiction In Our Lifetime,” in 2004. He’s been a trustee of Stepping Stones Foundation for 12 years and has been maintaining the home and messages of Bill and Lois Wilson in Bedford Hills, NY. He’s also the former president of Johnson Institute, featuring the pioneering work of Vernon Johnson, credited with “raising the bottom” for people entering recovery.
