Bird Street Club on Sunset Strip is Expanding Into its Parking Area

The Bird Streets Club at 9141 Sunset Boulevard is giving up some of its precious parking spaces to expand its dining experience. According to the City of West Hollywood eTRAKiT portal, the private members-only club on the Sunset Strip is in the process of converting its enclosed parking area to restaurant space and had drywall work done this past Monday.

Not much is known about The Bird Streets Club other than that it is run by The H.Wood Group, a lifestyle and hospitality marketing firm behind well-known establishments like Bootsy Bellows, The Nice Guy, and Delilah. Their website does not offer any information. There is no real documentation of when it opened, but plenty of Instagram posts confirm its existence.

The Los Angeles-based hospitality and lifestyle marketing company, The H.Wood Group, was founded in 2008 by longtime friends John Terzian and Brian Toll. They created the company to bring their high-end concepts and passion for service to life. The h.wood Group is known for its signature approach to service and storytelling, connecting brands, consumers, and talent at iconic cultural events such as Coachella, F1, Cannes, and Art Basel. The Bird Streets Club exemplifies the group’s commitment to producing world-class restaurants, nightlife, and events.

The club appears to have gotten its name from Bird Street, a secluded residential neighborhood in West Hollywood above the Sunset Strip, known for being an ultra-luxurious, ultra-private Los Angeles enclave. Bird Streets has been home to a long list of celebrities over the years, including Larry Flynt, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jerry Seinfeld, Jodie Foster, Matthew Perry, Herbie Hancock, Christina Aguilera, Keanu Reeves, and many more.

According to reports, Lionel Richie and Grant Cardone both used to live at 1401 Oriole Drive; Inspector Gadget creator Andy Heyward used to live at 1634 Blue Jay Way; Ricardo Montalban lived at 1423 Oriole Drive; Jodie Foster used to own 9219 Flicker Way; and Stan Lee once resided at 9155 Warbler Place.

Dr. Dre used to own the home at 9161 Oriole Drive and sold it for $32 million in 2015. Jennifer Aniston and former fiancé Justin Theroux used to rent a property in the Bird Streets for $17,000 a month.

Ariana Grande sold her Bird Streets home for $14 million, but the most well-known resident of this famous neighborhood is the late Beatles guitarist George Harrison.
