Barry’s is Celebrating 25 Years with Expansion and Special Events

Barry’s fitness studio (also known as Barry’s Bootcamp) is celebrating 25 years. The fitness brand was born and raised in West Hollywood when it opened its first location at 1106 N La Cienega Boulevard, in 1998. To celebrate their 25th anniversary, Barry’s is hosting an experiential event on Thursday, October 5, 2023, with celebrity DJ Diplo. They’ll be holding their largest class to date on October 6 and 7, in Los Angeles. Barry’s is also opening four new studios in California in the next year to solidify their status as the go-to fitness studio.

Barry’s 25th Anniversary Classes will include Barry’s CEO Joey Gonzalez, Founder Barry Jay, plus instructors Mercedes Owens, Tommy Stracke, Lindsey Clayton, and Erick Wilson. The classes will take place at at a 100,000 square ft Red Room with 225+ of Barry’s most loyal clients taught by Barry’s Global CEO and a live DJ to power the class. There will be five sessions total across the two days.

The Mega RUN x LIFT classes will take place at RED Studios, located at 846 N Cahuenga Boulevard, in Los Angeles. The classes will kick off Barry’s longest-ever challenge called “25 Years of You” in which clients will complete either 12 or 25 classes over 35 days. The global challenge will also include local community events across studios worldwide. The classes take place on Friday, October 6, at 6pm, and Saturday, October 7, at 8am, 10am, and 12pm

The West Hollywood Planning Commission approved to allow Barry’s in WeHo to move to the former Aaron Brothers framing and art supplies space, located at 8380 Santa Monica Boulevard in 2021. Colorful signage on the storefront announces, “The Next Era of WeHo – New Studio – Same Zip Code.” There is also a QR Code where people can sign up to get special access to special events, referral perks, VIP opening details and more.

From the time Barry’s opened their doors, the Red Room has been home to wellness enthusiasts, athletes and some of the most well-known names in Hollywood – including Kim Kardashian, J.Lo, David & Victoria Beckham, Harry Styles, Sandra Bullock, Lady Gaga, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel and Hugh Jackman, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lawrence and more.

In addition to the new studios opening in Studio City, Santa Monica, West Hollywood, and Newport Beach, the company has plans to open new studios in other key markets domestically and internationally to double its studio footprint over the next 3-5 years.
