Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney’s New WeHo Sandwich Shop Gets Unexpected Overhaul

Vanderpump Rules stars Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney are opening a gourmet sandwich shop called Something About Her in West Hollywood, at 640 N Robertson Blvd. They moved into the location in late May and announced their arrival with a new sign, a new awning, and a fresh coat of paint of the exterior, suggesting the sandwich shop was ready for its reality TV close-up this summer—however, the exterior of the store was ripped out this week to make room for something different and unexpected.

This past Wednesday, the front patio was jackhammered, and the new sign and the brand-new awning are completely gone, leaving fans to wonder if the deal on the new business venture had fallen through, which is not uncommon in the city of West Hollywood.

On Tuesday, workers were seen ripping out a slab of cement where the patio stood, leaving behind a gash. There is currently yellow tape to keep people off the property as the up-and-coming sandwich shop gets a new look. It also appears the exterior was repainted to hide some of the damage done.

A peek inside from the high windows shows that the interior is still intact, furniture is in place and seems unchanged.

It appears the revamping of the storefront will likely be part of Lisa Vanderpump’s Vanderpump Rules Season 11 storyline. Notices were posted on businesses around the area this week by EFT Media Productions LLC, announcing that there will be filming at Something About Her on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. According to the notice, filming will consist of interior dialogue and interviews inside the restaurant. There will also be exterior walk-up shots and establishing shots in front of the restaurant and from across the street.

The stars of Vanderpump Rules are setting up their sandwich shop just a few doors down from Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR, and a short walk from Tom Tom restaurant belonging to their exes Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz. News of the restaurant venture came out in the midst of scandal where Sandoval reportedly had an affair with Raquel Leviss, a subject that’s bound to be a hot topic on Season 11.

Maddix And Malone launched a Something About here online store back in March, which features an array of sweatshirts, T-shirts, hats, and phone cases, all of which retail for under $50. They have been monetizing on the restaurant while it continues to sit empty.
