    And Winners of The WeHo Chamber 2023 Creative Business Awards Are…

    West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (WHCC) hosted the 39th Annual West Hollywood Creative Business Awards 2023 (CBA) at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood, on Wednesday, Presented by Raleigh Enterprises. CBA celebrates businesses that have shown innovation and creativity in their business models; nominees were selected by their peers in the community, and the winners are chosen by the WHCC Membership. Awards were handed to the winners at the at the yearly event. For decades this award ceremony has been touted as “Los Angeles’ business community’s most powerful networking event of the year!”

    The event, produced by Chris Isaacson, presented musical performances by Armenian born Award-winning Blues & Rock guitar virtuoso Suren Arustamyan, and Universal Recording Artist & Hollywood “It” Girl, singer Brenna Whitaker. The event was hosted by SAG Award-winning Comedic Film & Television star KATE FLANNERY (The Office, The Masked Singer, YouTube’s PBC).

    The 2023 CBA Winners by Category are:

    Creative Concept Award:
    A business that is an innovator of a cool new concept, product, or service:

    Corporate Innovation Award:
    A business that has shown creative innovation in their corporate business model.

    John Chase Art & Design Award:
    A business that falls into the categories of art, film, performance art, fashion, design, architecture, or any other creative arts realm.

    Creative Communications Award:
    Awarded to a business within public relations, marketing, outdoor media, branding, televisual arts, copyrighting, technology, social media, graphic design, writing, etc.

    WeHo Attraction Award:
    Awarded to a business that attracts people to the West Hollywood area or caters to the visitor and tourism market.

    Innovative Sustainability Award:
    Awarded to a business that seeks to innovate green, sustainable products/services and is environmentally friendly, while striving to forward global social progress.

    Creative Community Service Award:
    Awarded to a business or individual who has shown exemplary service to the community philanthropically, or as a volunteer, an ambassador, a non-profit, or a representative of government.

    The event honored Sunset Marquis Hotel & Villas (https://sunsetmarquis.com/), a long-standing business with the Legacy Award and this year’s honoree is  celebrating 60+ years in West Hollywood. Actor Billy Bob Thornton attended the event to present the Sunset Marquis with the award.

    The Sunset Marquis Hotel stands as an innovative establishment under ownership of George Rosenthal, and his son Mark Rosenthal, since 1963. Nestled upon a sprawling expanse of 3.25 acres, adorned with magnificent tropical gardens, this venerable hotel offers 100 suites and 52 villas. For six decades, the hotel has been a creative hub and home away from home, for actors, comedians, writers, and various artists and designers and when the hotel opened in 1963, the hotel welcomed the newest breed of entertainers: rock stars.

    The CBAs pays tribute to twenty-one (21) nominated businesses in seven (7) categories with the awards’ winners chosen for their innovative approach to business and creative merits in product(s) and service(s) by the WHCC Membership and staff. The criterion for selection was that the business be a WHCC Member and have made significant contributions to the West Hollywood business community. Members vote for their favorite nominees via an online ballot and the winners are announced at the event. Donations raised at the event help to fund programs and promotions for the West Hollywood business community.
