Amour WeHo Restaurant is Opening Soon in West Hollywood

Amour WeHo restaurant is opening soon in the City of West Hollywood. According to to their website, they project to open this month, at 8715 Beverly Blvd, in the former home of well-known Mexican restaurant and bar Verlaine, which closed in 2018 after only being in business for a year (and before that, it was Dominick’s which was open at that location for 67-years until it closed in 2015).

What Now Los Angeles reported back in September 2022, that nightlife and entertainment industry veteran Thomas Fuks is set to launch this new venture in WeHo, conveniently situated next to live performance venue The Peppermint Club. Amour WeHo is described as a Michelin-star French restaurant. According to the writeup, it will feature an outdoor/indoor lounge adjacent to a fireplace and provide patrons with the opportunity to savor finger foods and cocktails.

Fuks and his Namaste Hospitality Group are listed on the liquor license. Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) lists license number 641131, for Amour WeHo LLC as newly active as of November 30, 2023 for a 41 On Sale Beer and Wine Eating Place license.

    ABC lists the following restrictions:

    • Petitioner(s) shall not require an admission charge or a cover charge, nor shall there be a requirement to purchase a minimum number of drinks.
    • Entertainment provided shall not be audible beyond the area under the control of the licensee(s) as depicted on the most recently certified ABC-257.
    • When the said patio area of the premises is being utilized for the sales, service, and consumption of alcoholic beverages, a premises employee shall be in attendance and maintain continuous supervision at all times of said area.

Fuks and Namaste Hospitality Group are behind some trendy Los Angeles nightclubs, which includes Members, a Mediterranean restaurant and lounge located Los Angeles just outside of the West Hollywood city limits on Sunset Blvd.

What Now Los Angeles reports that Fuks navigated the challenges of launching an all-inclusive destination amid the pandemic with Members and brings a wealth of experience from working with restaurant and club managers globally. His roles include serving as the general manager of Raspoutine LA, Laduree LA and N.Y., and Bouley in New York City—an esteemed restaurant led by Chef David Bouley. Fuks has also contributed to the hospitality industry at notable establishments like the Sofitel Luxury Hotel and Resort, Muse Luxury Hotel, and Westin Hotel & Resort.

As of the posting of this piece, Amour WeHo’s website at amourweho.love and their Instagram page at @amourweho_love are both non-active and currently have a parked banner stating it is “Opening this December.”

Granville? Because it’s quality food at relatively-affordable prices for the neighborhood. Appeals to pretty much everyone.
