THE WILD WeHo restaurant and bar, is having its official grand opening in West Hollywood on Friday, November 17, 2023, in the heart of WeHo’s LGBT Rainbow District, at 8945 Santa Monica Boulevard.
A single instagram post at @thewildweho announces the official opening: “THE WILD opening Nov 17th. Tulum Jungle themed Bar/Restaurant from Adam Lambert, Roger Taylor, Sarina Taylor and Bryan Patrick Franklin. •8945 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood.”
We reported here first that THE WILD opened briefly in time for the West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval in late October. The was approved for a temporary liquor license, which was valid for 4 months, beginning on October 19, 2023, and ending on February 15, 2024. They opened their doors at 5pm this evening to what they are calling a soft opening to give the new hot spot a test run during Halloween.
According to a source the wold, the new restaurant was testing things out for Halloween. The plan was to close again after the big Carnaval celebration to add some finishing touches before they have a grand opening in the near future. There was talks of adding mirrors and other elements to elevate the bar post Halloween.
Twitter account @lovingweho reports that there have been last minute improvements at this space this week with planters and other foliage is being added to the front patio area.
THE WILD has taken over the space that belonged to Saint Felix restaurant which closed on the first week of September after serving the West Hollywood community for roughly 14 years. They had a huge ten-year-anniversary celebration in May, 2019, with drink specials and a ribbon-ceremony presented by then West Hollywood Mayor Pro-Tempore Lindsey Horvath, who was there to help celebrate the a decade of being business.
So far, all we know is that THE WILD is opening on Friday. There is now word yet on whether Adam Lambert and his business partners will attend the grand opening, but it is very likely, which will give the opening a giant boost.
