    Beloved actor and comedian Leslie Jordan, who tragically passed away in Hollywood on October 2022, due to a medical emergency resulting in a car crash, is slated to receive a posthumous honor with the 462nd star on the prestigious Palm Springs Walk of the Stars.

    Nona Watson, CEO of the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce, expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to pay tribute to the exceptionally talented Leslie Jordan, who made an indelible mark on the world of entertainment. The star, made possible through generous donations to the Del Shores Foundation, is scheduled for unveiling on October 20th at 11 a.m. This date carries significant weight as it precedes the one-year anniversary of his passing. The ceremony is set to take place at Downtown Palm Springs Park, according to chamber officials.

    Leslie Jordan notably served as the Honorary Co-Chair of the Del Shores Foundation, and his involvement was pivotal to its mission.

    Del Shores, a close friend of Leslie Jordan for over 37 years, shared his sentiments, describing Leslie as a cherished companion and a source of inspiration. Del Shores noted Leslie’s deep affection for Palm Springs, highlighting his active contributions to the community over the years. Del Shores conveyed his enduring sense of loss, echoing the collective sentiment of those acquainted with Leslie.

    Leslie Jordan’s untimely passing occurred while he was driving his car at the age of 67. The coroner’s office reported that his death was attributed to a sudden cardiac dysfunction, linked to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

    Leslie Jordan was a versatile talent, acclaimed for his roles in “Will and Grace” and “Sordid Lives.” He also gained widespread recognition as a social media sensation during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, captivating audiences with his humorous videos, quarantine anecdotes, music, and dancing.
