Actor Asher Angel was Spotted at Fred Segal Sculpture in WeHo

We found these exclusive never-before-seen photos we took of Shazam! actor, Asher Angel, and his girlfriend, influencer, Caroline Gregory, while they were on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood last month.

The couple stepped up to the Fred Segal Peace Piece public art sculpture created by artist Nathan Mabry, just moments after its official unveiled on June 11th. He and his girlfriend threw peace signs for WEHO TIMES, making them the first to take selfies on the Peace symbol sculpture located at 8500 Sunset Boulevard Sunset Boulevard.

Asher Angel, whose credits include a key role on Disney Channel’s top-rated staple Andi Mack, and then starring in the Warner Bros/DC comics blockbuster film Shazam! in 2019, was in West Hollywood taking a break from filming the sequel “Shazam! Fury of the Gods”. He plays Shazam.

He’s also a solo musical artist. His release One Thought Away ft. Wiz Khalifa was the number one trending YouTube video for 3 days. Angel followed up the release of One Thought Away with Chills, All Day and Guilty. According to his website www.asherangel.com, there is more music on the way.

Shazam! chronicles the DC tale of troubled orphan Billy Batson (Asher Angel), who, after a run-in with an ancient wizard’s staff, develops the ability to transform into an adult superhero, played by Zachary Levi.

The fist Shazam! movie grossed a worldwide total of $366 million against a production budget of $80-100 million, thereby becoming a commercial success for DC and Warner Bros. Impressed by this performance, a sequel was put into development soon after.

Caroline Gregory is a popular social media influencer, TikTok Star, YouTuber, and entrepreneur. She is known for her popular lip-syncing and vlogging videos on her different social media accounts and channels.

Fred Segal unveiled Peace Piece sculpture in celebration of the store’s 60-Year Anniversary. The art piece is part of Nathan Mabry’s Heavy-Handed series of large-scale sculptures that resemble block-like human hands.

Fred Segal recently announced that the 80’s pop-culture phenomenon, Camp Beverly Hills is officially back and available exclusively at Fred Segal stores. To celebrate the nostalgic Los Angeles homecoming of the iconic pastel hued brand, the flagship store in West Hollywood is hosting a pop-up from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 8th. The pop-up will pay homage to the brand’s original Camp Beverly Hills store—And speaking of TikTok stars, Ellie Zieler will be in attendance from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. to lend her fashion expertise and hand out complimentary Gimme S’mores Ice Cream Sandwich by Coolhaus.

“Shazam! Fury of the Gods” was projected to be released on April 1, 2022, but because of COVID the movie has since been scheduled to release on June 2, 2023, a full 4 years after the original film’s release. Shazam! 2 started production in May 2021. It explains why one of the movie’s key players was spotted on the Sunset Strip in June.
