A Second Mistr Location is Opening in West Hollywood

A second Mistr location is opening in West Hollywood in the heart of the LGBT District. The telemedicine (telePrEP) platform and PrEP provider is opening at the northeast corner of San Vicente and Santa Monica Blvds, at 802 N. San Vicente Boulevard in the former Rounderbum space. A blue Mistr location will also be at 8700 Santa Monica Boulevard, in the former home of the long-gone Coco Queen space.

Signage went up at the building this week. The building is dark blue, which matches the color scheme of the Mistr sister building down the street. It’s not yet clear what both spaces will offer, but Mistr is letting its presence known in the city of West Hollywood.

Mistr offers free online access to pre exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), the once a day pill that is 99% effective at preventing HIV. It also offers free online PrEP and STI testing in 46 states, D.C. and Puerto Rico. Gay owned and operated, Mistr has brought together the best doctors, pharmacists, and problem solvers to make PrEP available to all who need it. No needles, no doctor’s office, no paperwork and free delivery.

Most insurance plans cover PrEP – if yours doesn’t, they can help you qualify for patient assistance programs, so you have no out-of-pocket costs. They handle all the paperwork for you, so it’s hassle free.

The required PrEP labs and doctor consult are free, as are all your STI testing. No needles or need to waste your time at the doctor’s office; you can do everything at home. If you already have a prescription for PrEP, they offer free delivery anywhere in the United States, and they make prescription renewals quick and effortless.

    The Facts about PreP:

    • PrEP is 99% effective at preventing HIV.
    • Gay and bisexual men made up about 70% of the estimated 38,500 new HIV infections 2015. Yes, people still get HIV!
    • In LA County, only 6,700 people are on PrEP, roughly 10% of the gay population in Los Angeles, and it’s even less in many other cities.
    • Expanded use of PrEP, regular testing, and treatment means a world with ZERO new infections.

Two retail storefronts within like a mile of each other..in a very costly commercial corridor. Someone has been flushed with cash…and they’re gonna blow right through it.
